1. What a cookie is

A cookie is a small file placed on your device (computer, phone, tablet) when you visit a website. It allows the site to recognise you from one page to the next, remember your choices, measure its traffic and, for some of them, show you advertising.

The word “cookie” is used here for all trackers: cookies in the strict sense, pixels, tags and browser local storage.

2. Who places these cookies

The site is operated by BAAK Motocyclettes, whose details appear in the legal notice.

Some cookies are placed directly by us, others by third-party companies whose services we use. Those third parties are listed in section 4.

3. Your consent

On your first visit, a banner lets you accept, refuse, or choose cookie by cookie. Refusing is as easy as accepting: it takes one click, at the same level as acceptance.

Cookies strictly necessary for the site to work (section 4.1) are placed without consent, as the regulation allows. No other cookie is placed before you have made your choice.

You may change or withdraw your choice at any time using the cookie settings button at the bottom of every page. Your choice is kept for six months; after that, the banner is shown again.

4. Cookies used on this site

4.1 Strictly necessary cookies — placed without consent

Without them the site does not work: they cannot be refused.

4.2 Audience measurement — subject to your consent

These tell us how many people visit the site, which pages are read and where visitors come from, so that we can improve the site.

These let us measure how our campaigns perform and show you relevant advertising on other sites.

5. Transfers outside the European Union

Some of the providers named above (Google, Meta) may transfer data to the United States. These transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, to which those companies adhere, and on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

6. Managing cookies from your browser

Independently of our banner, you can set your browser to block or delete cookies. That setting applies to every site and may degrade how some of them work, ours included (basket, login).

The steps differ by browser: Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge each describe the procedure in their help section, under “cookies”.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, object to, restrict and port the data concerning you. These rights are exercised at the address given in our legal notice.

You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).

8. Updates

This policy may change as the services we use change. Last updated: 28 August 2026.
